Hi monkeymom. My name is NET10 Robert and I will be addressing your question. If you have this phone models: Samsung R451C and Samsung 401G, it will deducts you .3 minutes. So that would be over 600 messages you are going to receive/send. If the phone is none of the two, it deducts .5 minutes and that would be a total of 400 text messages to receive or send. Hope this answers your question. Thank you!

whatch your charges, I had my number transfered to a new phone, & tech support sat it up wrong, I was being charged 1 unit per txt.!! After being on the phone w/ a new tech support person I was at first told that it was correct, I had to remind him net 10 advertises .05 for txt. I only received a $20 credit, which don't come close to what I wasted due to there mistake!!! I will be looking for a different phone company, I have been using net10 for over 1 yr, but no more after this ripoff!!
