how long to port?

how long to port?

Postby bfunk1978 » Tue Dec 13, 2011 12:22 am

Just curious how long it should take to port my number from Virgin Mobile to Net10? VMo turned off my phone within an hour of setting it up on the Net10 website, my new phone (LG900G) still says activation required. the ticket number i was given (1042941746) can't be read on the website.

The old phone shouldn't have been turned off before the new one works.
Heck when I moved my number over both my old phone and new phone worked for about 4 hours. New phone could make calls after an hour. Old phone could do both. 4 hours later only new phone worked
When I moved it back to the old provider it took 3 hours to move it back then it worked but the Net10 phone worked til that night.

What shouldn't be and what is are two totally different things! I've always had numbers port from Net10 phone to Net10 phone immediately...but this time I've been without service on either phone for over 18 hours which is total bullcrap!

How long does it take to transfer your number when you're simply switching sim cards in one phone? I'm taking my iphone 3gs off of AT&T pay as you go to Net10's bring your own device. I did this yesterday at 8pm and I'm just curious how much longer this will take.
