Net 10 lost my number

I keep thinking that it is a nightmare and if I wake up my number will come back to me!
11 days ago, i forgot to add my pin number and my service got suspended. I used the hand set to add my pin and got "system not available, please try later". Ok, i'll try later. 24 hrs later and having acquired a second card just in case there was something wrong with the first one, I called the customer service. After one hour, I spoke to a someone for 90 minutes. It was a grilling. They finally agreed to extend my service by 30 days and put the second card on reserve.
Problem solved i believed, she is sending me a new sim card. It took another 2 calls of over 90 mins each to reactivate the new card. I even had 150 mins and 10 days extra for my trouble. Wow, what a great service. The phone shows the added extra mins and days. Few minutes, I received a text message saying: "welcome back". I made nothing out off it. Two days later (8/5/12) I realized that I have a new phone number. Why and how, I have no idea.
Back to calling customer service and a grilling after another I was given the Miami number. A new sim card was ordered and fedexed over night. Wow, what a great service but why am i without service and more importantly without my original number. Where do I go from here?

I need help, too. I have always had good service and customer service from net10. for what it gives in reduced costs, I feel like I am paying to set and re-set up my wife's phone. I have had tracfone/net10 for 10years over 3 ppl serviced. My wife's is the hardest to configure. Mine are usually seamless, and my son's was flawless. I need my wife's phone setback to her regular number.

Also, I am curious to know if her # changes, how long does net10 hold on to the rights of the number, and how long before the re-appropriate the # to someone else??

both of those things concern me.

It is great that net 10 allows us to share our experiences publicly on their site. They do so much right, here!
