We wanted to transfer my phone number from one NET10 phone (LG400G) to another (LG900G). We did this on 6/21/2011. Later that day, everything seemed to be fine with the new phone. We could make and receive calls and texts.
Then yesterday, we activated a 750 minute/30-day card. The minutes and days were added properly.
But since then, this is our current situation:
1. We can send and receive text messages to the new phone.
2. We can make calls from the new phone.
3. However, we cannot receive calls to the phone. Incoming calls cause the OLD phone to ring. If we turn off the old phone, incoming calls go straight to voice mail. They do not even ring on the new phone. Very strange. I thought our old phone was deactivated, but perhaps not.
Why are incoming calls being routed to the old phone? Was there a mistake in the porting process?
I will give this another day or two to be fixed before returning the phone to Walmart. This should not be that complicated and I am quite frustrated!
