porting net 10 number to new net 10 phone

I just bought a new net10 LG 800 and wish to port the old NET 10 phone number from my old LG 400 to the new LG800. I tried to port on line. The website asked for both the serial number of the new phone, and the serial number of the old phone. Then it said something about an existing process (or something) in progress and had me enter 5 or 6 VERY long code numbers into the OLD PHONE - then it said something about being finished. I never had to enter anything into the NEW PHONE. Does this mean that the number porting is in progress? Even though all the code numbers were entered in to the OLD phone and nothing was entered into the new phone.Please help.Thank you.
