Can I transfer a phone number from another provider even tho

Postby susiedarling » Mon Dec 06, 2010 12:57 pm

I have had a Sprint phone for 10 years. i decided to also buy a LG300 Net 10 phone to see if that would work better for me than a contracted phone. I registered my Net phone and have been using it for about 6 months and would now like to get rid of my Sprint phone and make the Net10 phone my one and only phone. What I would love to do is to have my Sprint Phone number put on my Net 10 phone. Can I do this even though my Net 10 phone already has a number. If I can, do I call Sprint and tell them what I'm doing or just cancel my phone with them and let Net 10 know what number I want transferred? Just not sure how this all goes.Thanks.Susiedarling

Hi Susie. My name is NET10 Stephanie and I will be addressing your question. Yes, you can transfer your Sprint phone number to the Net10 phone as long as the number is active. The process will take 7-10 business days if it is a wireless number and up to 30 days if it is a landline number. We will need to deactivate the NEt10 phone with the number on it then we will process the port request. You don't need to cancel the number with your current service provider because your account will be cancelled automatically once the number is released. I believe this answers your question. It's been a pleasure helping you. Have a good day.
