What is my account number? I want to port my Net10 number

I want to port my Net10 number to a different cell phone company so I can keep the number I have had since about 2004.

I did not want to leave Net10, but my old Nokia from 2004 no longer works and all the new Net10 phones are smart phones which require a monthly payment plan rather than just adding pay as you go cards. I was getting by on one $30 card every two months, so it was about $15 per month.

Anyways, the new cell phone company wants my account number, but all I know is my phone number. Is it the same thing?
