I apparently just lost my phone number while porting from a Net10 Micro SIM card to a Net10 Nano SIM card.
Last week I ordered a Net10 Nano SIM for a new phone that I purchased, a Moto X. My current phone is a Nexus4 with a Net10 Micro SIM in it that I've been using for about 2 1/2 years. About four days ago I attempted to port the number from the Net10 Micro SIM to the Net10 Nano SIM and it failed, giving me a new phone number on the Nano SIM.
I spent about 90 minutes on the phone with Net10 Tech Support talking with three different people. Once the call was complete, I was told that the port might take up to three days to complete and to just wait it out. Four days later the Nano SIM still has the wrong phone number.
I just called back into Tech Support and they show my account is running on the Nano SIM with the new phone number. The nice tech support person also informed that my old phone number, the one I've had for ten years and is linked to my business, is expired and that I just have to use the new number. That is unacceptable.
Has anybody run into this scenario before? What are my options? My old Nexus 4 with the Micro SIM still works with my original number however voicemail is no longer available.
I'm ticked and in need of some direction.
