I have a very old motorola flip phone (It still has an antenna, that's how old). I really don't use my cell much and have been using the prepaid cards to keep it topped off every couple months. Consequently, I have maxed out minutes. At 10 cents/min I have almost a thosuand dollars on the phone, so am loathe to just go to a new carrier.
But I look at the phones Net10 currently offers for the old prepaid card system and see there are really no options anymore for an upgade. If my only alternative is to pay $30-$40 per month, ever month, on a Net10 Smartphone, I'd just as soon go with my regular landline phone company and be billed. I like using the card (works out to $15/month and meets my few needs for an emergency phone and rare long distance calls). I also don't want to give up the minutes Ive accrued.
so, aside from advice to join the crowd and live in the present with a smartphone, what suggestions does anyone have for my situation? I want to upgrade to a better phone but not give up the prepaid minutes.
Thanks!
