Hello, I have been having a difficult time attempting to port my existing AT&T land line to a prepaid net10 phone.
I am attempting to port an existing, active land line to an unused cell phone that was previously net10 about 6 months ago. I have purchased a net10 BYOP sim and an initial $20 service card.
When I attempted to activate the new service and port the old number over using the net10 website's online tools, the web form repeatedly told me that my AT&T account number was invalid. However, this is the only account number I have, present on both the printed bill and my AT&T online account, and the only account number they could provide to me.
It was recommended I try the automated phone service instead, in order to make the transfer, which I have done.
I provided it with all the necessary information, including the pin on the airtime card. I seem to have successfully completed the automated process, but I have no confirmation or other information besides a ticket number.
I do not know how to check on the status of the port, or access the account once the port is completed.
I cannot log into the net10 site using the sim card number, the phone IMEI, or the soon-to-be-ported phone number. If I attempt to log into the site using the new number, I get the following error: ERROR_1985515
Can you please advise on how I can check the progress of this number transfer and activation?
