Net10 sim card to Straight Talk phone/service

Net10 sim card to Straight Talk phone/service

Postby aspect » Wed Feb 09, 2011 11:45 am

I currently have a net10 motorola w408g phone and I want to use the straight talk unlimited plan since its 5 dollars cheaper a month. Since net10 and straight talk are the same company if I take the sim card out of my net10 phone and put it into a straight talk phone will the number work on the straight talk service without porting? The porting process takes a couple of days and the last time I ported the number to the net10 phone I had to wait 5 days for the new sim card to arrive. I cant deal with such down time again.

Good day, sandy. My name is Jessica Net and I'll be addressing your question. Unfortunately, inserting your NET10 SIM card to Straight Talk won't port your phone number over. It'll be rejected instead since SIM card is only associated with your NET10 phone. We really need to follow the port process for the phone number to transfer over to Straight Talk. I believe this answers your question. It's been a pleasure helping you. Have a good day.
