Backing up contacts - Nope

Backing up contacts - Nope

Postby dlt » Tue Sep 27, 2011 8:45 am

I have a Samsung R335C phone, but I believe this applies to most Net 10 phones.

Apparently it is Net10 policy to disable both tethering and the use of bluetooth (except for a headset) (why?) on their phones.

I don't know about phones with SIM cards, but what this means on my phone is there is NO way to back up contacts. So if the phone goes inop or I lose it and have to purchase a new phone, I will have to manually re-enter a couple hundred contacts.

I don't understand why they have this policy but since they do, they should provide a backup means on the Net10 website -- Verizon has a free "Backup Assistant" program that even does it automatically.

It is simply not fair to disable both tethering and bluetooth and then NOT provide any other method to backup contacts. I would be willing to pay -- use up minutes -- to save my contacts.

Hi dlt. My name is Net10 Lovely and I will be addressing your question. We do not have features to back up your contacts. If you have a new phone, you will need to add your contacts manually to your new phone from your old phone. Thanks.
