Bought wrong phone card minutes

It seems I bought the wrong type of phone minutes. I wanted to buy straight time for my son's phone. I could not find any phone cards in the local WalMart and was told I could buy time at the gas station. The clerk said she had $25 and $30 cards and I bought time for $25. I did not get a card but a cash receipt. When we tried to add the time to his phone, we got the message "By adding a NET10 750 Minutes Monthly Plan you will lose any remaining Minutes and/ or Service Days on your phone. Do you still wish to add your 750 Minutes Monthly Plan?" What is this? How do I add this time to his phone without his losing his current minutes? Would he have to buy only a monthly plan card in the future? Will he get a full 750 minutes with this load of minutes? I don't understand why this was not just a plain card like the other companies have.

Hi Roxanne,The serial # is 011 *** *** *** ***. The Sim # is 890 *** *** *** *** **. Unfortunately, we are traveling right now and I don't have the pin # of the phone care with me at this computer. Hi Sam,Basically what I want to know is that if we use the $25/750min card this month, do we have to keep on using that plan? I realize that any current phone minutes will be lost when we activate the new card, so we don't want to activate the card until the current minute balance is low. THe current minutes don't expire until 12/14. From what I've seen on the web site, we are allowed to change plans monthly and should be able to go back to a "pay as you go" plan at 10 cents a minute or a monthly plan that the minutes can be rolled over. Is all this true?

Betty, my name is Jessica Net and I'll be addressing your question. Yes, they're all true. If you add a 750 minutes for $25 this month, you can always change plans for the next month. I believe this answers your question. It's been a pleasure helping you. Have a good day.
