Hi.
I was hoping that someone here could help me. I'm from Germany and was in the US two years ago. Back then I bought a Kyocera trackphone from NET10. It worked fine. Now I have returned to the US for my vacation, and I wanted to re-activate the phone. I followed the instructions on the website, and after having to manually program it it said that it was working. The display now says "service expires on 09/14/2011" and that I have 989 minutes. However, everytime I try to call someone or send a text message it doesn't work. When I try to send a text message it gives me the Error 107 Class 2. It also happily deducts the minutes, although the text message fails to be delivered.
Since I am traveling from state to state, I suppose it could be a problem with the roaming, but I have no idea how to fix it. If anyone has encountered a similar problem or has an idea as to what I could try, I'd be very grateful for some advice.
I did try to email the technical support of NET10, but their only reply was that they may need to talk to me in person to reconfigure my phone. Since this is the only phone I have access to, and it doesn't work, that's not really an option for me, unless there's a number I could call that doesn't get charged.
I'd be fine with buying a new trackphone from NET10, if there's a way to transfer the minutes that I still have on this phone? It's just that I bought a 20$ card to re-activate the phone, so I don't want that to be waisted.
Best regards,
Rebekka
