i have not had service in about a year can i buy a card and reactivate the phone and get a new number by just using the phone and not by internet. i am leaving my state tommorrow morning and i have no service in this area. the last time i added a card to my phone by internet they put the minutes on someone else's phone and it took me 6 hours on the phone to get it straighten out. thanks

No, you cannot use the phone to buy a card to reactivate the phone because it won't work since the phone itself is not active.
