I have attempted to register my Net10 cell phone which was purchased thru Walmart around March 17, 2009. The phone was used for less than 50 minutes of a 300 included at $30.00 plan and activated at the till at time of purchase. the unit was stored for the past 2 years and the battery was removed and recharged in the last 24 hours. I am unable to place a call with the remaining minutes and wish to reactivate for use over the next 3 months while in Yuma. Please suggest my best options.

I have been trying to add the unlimited 750 minutes on my phone. It tells me 'try again later, system unavailable'. However, I have tried a few times. Not sure what is going on. Help! Or I do I get a refund?

Re: LG300G - How to "unblock" my caller ID to select individ

Postby Lagniappe » Wed Jun 15, 2011 4:47 am

My caller ID comes across as Caller Unknown ... or something like that. That's what I want for MOST of my calls.

However, in other phone systems, it is possible to send a *code ... such as *42 or *64 or something to individually unblock my tel# to THAT individual for THAT call. I've tried the AT&T codes & it doesn't work

ALSO in other systems, it's possible to concatenate the *code # with the tel# I am calling to ... with a few commas or a few spaces ... to allow the *code to address the system before the # I am calling To is processed.

MY QUESTIONS: #1) What is the *code (or #code) that Net 10 uses to individually tell Net10 to transmit my Caller ID ...
and
#2) how can I add it to the stored tel# on my Contacts list ... so that those friends will know who is calling (instead of "Caller Unknown")?

Thanks

Good day, Lagniappe. My name is Jessica Net and I'll be addressing your concern. We will need to know the specific message that will display as your caller ID so we can figure out how to resolve your concern. Also, we do not support blocking of incoming calls so dialing a specific code to block a number will not work. Thank you.

Hello Jessica Net,

Friends tell me when I call it says: "Blocked"

I did not ask about, nor am I concerned about "blocking of incoming calls" ... I have no idea where you got that idea.

AGAIN: My outgoing caller ID is universally blocked ... THIS I WANT ... I DO NOT WANT TO CHANGE THAT.

I DO WANT TO CHANGE: the ability of SPECIFIC friends to get my caller ID ... in other words ... I WANT TO RE-ENABLE, specifically, Call by Call, the transmission of my Caller ID JUST TO SPECIFIC FRIENDS.

IN OTHER PHONE SYSTEMS, this is commonly done by * & # numbered commands. But each phone system uses different codes. NET 10 does not list your * & # commands anywhere that I've found in your manuals or on your website.

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE * OR # CODE THAT NET 10 USES .... TO RE-ENABLE CALLER ID ... ON A CALL BY CALL BASIS

AND

#2

HOW CAN I CONCATENATE THAT COMMAND, WITH PAUSES, INTO MY FRIENDS' TELEPHONE NUMBERS IN MY CONTACTS LIST ... SO THAT IT WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DIALED?

If you do not know, please forward this to someone who does know. These are commonly used commands in all phone systems ... heck ... AT&T publishes their commands in the phone book. This should NOT be so difficult.

Lagniappe: You may try to use *67 and let me know if it works. Thank you.
