Blocking a Number

I got 8 calls from a number in two days...I am on the do not call list both texas and Federal. I need to block this number and couple more that do not adhere to the do not call list. My phone is a LG 306g..I found once before about texting to block a number but forgot how . Is that still true and if not how do I block the numbers?
