L34C entering random commands

My slightly over 2 year old Optimus Fuel has started entering random commands on it's own. I already performed a factory reset on it after it started randomly opening apps and adjusting the volume. The latest incident, it opening up the emergency dialer and filling in the phone number with 0s. I have an AVG security suite on it, but the virus scans have shown nothing and this happens even when it's not connected to the net.

Do I need a new phone, or there some way to fix it?
