lg306g terrible connection

I got a new lg 306g phone about 6 weeks ago to replace my old lg phone that had died after 4 years.
I use it in 501 area code and it appears to have service through t mobile by the sim number. When I talk to people with it they say they usually can't understand what I am saying. Static, cuts in and out, or sounds like I have my head in a bucket while talking to them. More then one of my friends told me not to call them with it unless it is a emergency.
Looking at the sim card from my old phone it looks like it was t mobile also. I can understand that some places might not have good coverage but I have had this problem with the phone showing 3 bars. The internet connection is next to useless also. Pretty much nothing will load. Where I live being able to check weather radar would be great. Is there some code settings I can change to make it better. Phone call quality most important, internet second. It looks like at&t has better coverage in the state. Would changing sim cards to at&t be a option? Or is the lg306g just a lousy phone? Checking the internet on the 306g I did find a few people with the same problems as mine. I have been using net10 for a lot of years, I don't want to have to change. Any help would be appreciated..... David

It's been a few months now and just to update that the new sim card that you sent looks like it took care of the bad phone reception. And the internet got a little better, at least untill a few weeks ago. Looks like a lot of people have had problems with no internet connection also. I will add another post about the internet problem.

Hi,

I am having the exact same problems with my lg306g. Bad reception, my voice sounds garbled when I talk to almost anyone. Any help at all would be much appreciated.
