And so I spent more time on line last night, and that the adjustment made would take a couple of hours, but my phone should work by the morning, and the browser would be running.

Twelve hours later--no change. Why is no one in this company able to solve my browser issue?

So I'm out the money for the phone, as well as $40 for a plan that is unusable.

How do I get my money back? I've spent countless hours on the phone or on the web with customer service. I'm STILL waiting to talk with someone who understands the technical side, not just reads off a manual.

Yesterday, the first customer service tech terminated the conversation because I wasn't typing fast enough. She thought no one was there; actually I have Parkinson's and find it difficult to type quickly.

This is the "service" I am dealing with. How do I get my money back on the phone and the plan?

Robert,

have you worked through my suggestion? Issue May be related to the widespread issue we've been complaining about. I wrote up the problem and solution here http://cur.lv/aeg83 (click skip ad in top right corner if need be) This issue covers internet and MMS issues, and applies if your phone utilizes a SIM card.

If you don't explicitly instruct the tech support on what to do, you'll never get it fixed. I spent a week researching how APNs and MMS work to finally find my the solution. Once I did it, everything was back up and normal.

Please let me know if this fixes the issue for you. Also btw once you hit 5 posts you will be able to use private messaging.

Well, I'm 90% of the way there. Now's it's an MMS issue--no photos will download. None at all. I called the "help desk" (just kidding). After 25 minutes on the line I was told to call back tomorrow--it is a carrier issue and they can't getahold of anyone.

Actually it's a stupidity issue. This phone has not worked since day one. Going on 15 days. I bought it because I need to use it at work--we take and send property pictures. This phone has not worked at all and I am halfway through my plan.

This is unacceptable. It's clear from the thread of this subject that my SIM card needs re-provisioning, not dropping and adding APNs every time I call.

I do not have an hour to call during work tomorrow. And I cannot stall not giving people my number any longer just because the phone is not fully functional, because no one has really been able to contact me in two weeks.

If I wake up tomorrow morning and my phone is not fully functional I am:

(1) Buying a new phone on another provider and sending the bill for everything including my LG phone and the airtime card to the Net 10 corporate office;
(2) I am going to send a detailed letter to Consumer Reports and
(3) File a formal complaint with the Federal Communication Commission.

I have been way too patient to put up with this kind of crappy customer service.

And no, I do not wish to speak to customer service anymore. I want to speak to a real live teach, preferably in the U.S.

To Mr. Ducketts:

The tech refused to reprovision my SIM card. He said it was already okay to in the system.

To NET10 Nick--

How many g--damned times an I going to have someone ask me to take out the battery and the SIM Card and replace it? I must have spent ten hours this week alone taking to your inane tech department.

The tech on line told me I would have to call back (after a whopping five minutes of analysis?) Again? For the sixth, seventh, eighth time? For what?

And by the way, tell the on line people to have some patience. I have Parkinson's and can sometimes only use one hand to type, let alone open the phone.

No, no, no. I am not calling anymore. I am going to send my lovely phone back to corporate office with print outs of all the chats I've had in this comedy of horrors. I am not spending two hours at home after work talking to someone and starting over. Ridiculous.

I love this phone and really want to use it. NET10 could give a crap about satisfying its customers.

Don't bother responding.

hey robert,

PM me if you still want to try and get that issue sorted out, I'll try and help ya. If you send it back and tell net10 you're done, I sure won't blame you, I was darn close to that myself. These guys are really frustrating to deal with, and if you can't get one guy to redo the provisioning, you may need to get another one who will. Again, a PITA that shouldn't be.

Cheers
