I have a R451C . I bought the phone because I wanted to be able to access the web. It won;t let me connect. Do I I need to do something to use this feature? I also can't download ringtones. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance . Joyce

Hi Joyce. My name is Net10 Stephanie. Sorry that you're having a problem. I'm going to try to help you now. Please clear the cache, history, and cookies under the browser menu. Turn the phone off and back and then try to access the web again. Once the browser is working, try to download ringtones once more. Thank you.

Sorry, but the browser of your phone will not work if you are outside the local calling area. You can only access the browser if your phone is not roaming. Thank you.

Hey, guys! I've heard from review sites that text messaging rates for the R451C are .3 units per text instead of the normal .5 units. I checked the website, and I don't see anything about that. is it true?

I have the same phone and when Iam at home(the area code I signed up for) my phone still says roam and when I try to see pictures that people have sent or get on the internet I get something that says check data restrictions 36. I can live with out the internet but I would really like to be able to open the pictures of my granddaughter that is one of the main reasons I bought the phone.

Hi Canary. My name is NET10 Casey and I will be addressing your question. There are no recent changes om our text message rates. Still the Samsung R451C will be charged .5 unit per text sent and received. I believe this answers your question. It's been a pleasure helping you. Have a good day.

My wife and I saw the same thing about the .3 per unit text before we bought the phones. We both activated our new phones under the same zipcode and there was a problem with my activation and I had to do the gazillion number code entry and finally I got a number but my unit per text is .5. My wife's phone activation went without a hitch and she can text for only .3 per unit. We both bought the same phone brand and model, at the same location, and activated both phones with the same zipcode but we both have different local area codes and she is receiving the advertised .3 per texting units while I am receiving what I do on my old Net10 phone. I called the tech help phone number this afternoon and was on hold for 3 hours - not an exaggeration - until I finally hung up. I am hoping this issue can be resolved. I have already added 250 minutes to this new phone and bought 3 ringtones and a background picture that I hope I don't lose on the reprogramming of the phone. And I am looking forward to achieving the .3 per unit text that I expected when I purchased the phone. We haven't previously had problems with Net10 so I am hopeful of a good resolution.

My wife and I have each just recently purchased one of these phones and the booklets that are inserted into both packages confirm the 3 cents per texting that you are inquiring.
